The last time I cried was when I was 10 right after reading Where the Red Fern Grows. I went 26 years without crying, apparently I finally lost something worthy of the tears… but it was more than that. The person I loved more than anything decided to hurt me, that it was okay to hurt me to get something new that she wanted. That has broken me in a way that I could never have imagined and I am not sure I will ever be able to recover from.
