“Waiting. Sitting in silence. The only sound that can be heard is the low hum that is coming from the radio and the wind rapidly running past the car. I stare. Numb and empty outside the window. Waiting. Waiting for it to come. Waiting to hear the words that I have been dreading. Tears form in my eyes, threatening to fall as the silence slowly threatens to end, causing the world I know to fall apart. Waiting. He looks at me but I refuse to meet his pleading stare, for my eyes hold so much pain, hurt and sorrow.
