Artie & Kitty aka Kartie, became good friends and flirted A LOT in the 2nd half of Season 4. They officially becamw gf and bf in 5×01 "Love, Love, Love." After Artie graduated from McKinley in 5×13 "New Directions," they mutually decided to end their romantic relationship, due to Artie in NYC for college, neither like trying the long distance thing. Although, you could tell neither was thrilled about it and Kitty cried a lot.
